Re: Asus P7H57D-V EVO discontinued - what should I use inste

Hi, There are I believe a total of 8 SATA connectors on the Asus motherboard, it's easy (& cheap) to simply bring 2 or 3 of these out to one of the expansion slots. Only reason this would be a problem is if you envision using up all of the expansion slots. Having said this, however, I now see th...

Re: Automation on group?

You are not going wrong...this is one of the broken automation features in v6 which has been (theoretically) fixed in v7. I'm waiting to see more comments in this forum on v7, hopefully it is ready, or nearly ready for show time!

Re: Hard disk tools

Regarding "cheap enclosure and marginal eSATA cable problems", I can recommend the Avastor enclosures as being reliable & quiet (most of the time) but whatever you do throw away the cheap eSATA cables which come with the Avastors!

Re: V6.2.4 B7777 Runtime Errors

Hi Silas, I've been on 6.2.4 B7777 for months now & have never seen Runtime errors. The one thing I can tell you is that after reading all the complaints regarding installations of this version, I did the install from a completely clean Windows (never any previous Pyramix versions installed). Tim

Re: Mini ATX or Laptop

Hi Preston, We go all over with a pair of Asus laptops fitted with RME MadiFaces...no complaints whatever. Look for a quiet laptop (you want a late model hi-tech machine but stay away from bleeding edge gaming laptops with their power hungry/noisy graphics cards), eSATA interface for media drive, 17...

Re: Hard disk tools

Hi Preston, Others may have better advice but in my experience, if you don't get a SMART error pointing to a specific disc while booting up a Windows system, it's just a matter of empirically determining (and suspecting) the damaged discs (slow, sluggish copy times, write failures, freezes, etc.). I...

Re: Track muting within Track Groups

Hi, You are correct, once you've grouped, and are editing tracks within those groups, separating out tracks for solos and mutes isn't efficient in Pyramix. I would go about this using the mixer, not the track headers. But how you implement this depends on how you work. First, try bringing in the ste...

Hi Alexander,

Actually, you don't need to perform the op twice for adjacent tracks...see my post above.

Re: Automation and Delay Compensation

There is a quick "shortcut" to writing envelope changes to either just one track within a track group, or several adjacent tracks within a track group. The envelope adjustment will only affect the area which is selected. Begin at the upper left corner of the area you want to select (or any...

Re: Pyramix Monitor Section

Hi Larry, I use the Pmix monitor section for virtually every project. And...in terms of minimizing clutter (and maintaining pristine audio) I can't recommend highly enough the Grace M902 "headphone amp" (but it's so much more than a headphone amp). With its "exclusive output" fea...
