Re: DLL's missing, Pyramix cannot launch

Will it not even start for you? you can avoid this issue by lauching Pyramix as administrator (right-clic on the PMX laucher and choose the proper option in the drop-down menu). I've used this trick with the two systems that have 1709 (one was a fresh install and the other brand new, where it's hard...

Re: Windows 10 Update

I was sure I had followed the Merging instructions for deferring Win 10 updates, but the computer just did one. There was no warning, just an indication that an update was ready to be installed when I went to shut the computer down. There's a notice here: http://www.merging.com/support/pc-config wh...

Re: Plugin routing

Note that every change you make when the Mixer is in its "Mix!" mode, requires a re-build (if the change will require an adjustment to the Automatic Delay Compensation), whereas, if you switch to the Mixer's "Configure" page, the re-build will only happen once, when you've finis...

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank

Thanks again for the ideas. Unfortunately this continues for me. Despite a PMX reinstall and ctrl-clicking and repatching a bunch. It became unstable after I connected to a Mac to review a project and then returned to the PMX PC. So you're switching between MassCore and Native ASIO? I wonder if tha...

That's great - thanks!
Touchscreen though? Will I need to wait another year for that?

Laptop recommendations

I'm in the market for a new laptop for Pyramix Native use as well as other tasks. I'm partial to the Thinkpad pointing stick, and Thinkpad laptops in general. Am I missing something or is it true that no models have touchscreen, pointing stick, and full num pad? Also an actual Ethernet port (rather ...

Re: EasyConnect dropping a bank

1) clear all connections from all devices on the network (CTRL+click on "Clear All Connections" in Easy Connect) and re-establish fresh network connections. I needed to do this every few weeks to clear that error, prior to upgrading to V10. For advanced setups screenshots are your friend!...

I'm also keenly interested as I'm about to upgrade a W7/32 system up to 64 and wanted to jump up to Win 10 in the process.

Safely remove hard drives

It would be great if Pyramix would allow you to remove an external hard drive using "Safely remove hardware" after the software has closed. This has always been impossible, forcing you to shutdown or restart to safely remove a drive.

Re: Background usage of the disk

This is normal behavior with Pyramix. With extensive use of external hard drives over many years and on a multitude of systems, it's safe to point to Pyramix as the cause. Perhaps it does something to Windows to make it behave this way, but nothing I've ever done in Windows without running Pyramix w...

Re: WAV files not seen upon return to PMX

I found these in the old email thread from Ricardo Ryan & David Jacques: Go in Pyramix settings > Application > General: -Make sure that Keep Media Manager history is turned off. If you have to turn it off, you must restart Pyramix for the change to take effect. To fix the problem, I just re-cop...

Re: WAV files not seen upon return to PMX

Are you not seeing the file at all in Media Manager? Well that's no good! I've had problems like this in the past going between Native v8 (32-bit), v10 and v10 Masscore systems, but have forgotten what I did exactly to remedy it. Try moving the original media off the drive completely, in addition to...

I have an Oppo 103 and it works well.

David I forgot to thank you earlier. Picked up a 103 locally and now all my SACDs are (happily) ripped! Thanks for the link!! :D
