Re: Album Publishing file name fields

Well, <DiskTitle> is already there... Not really, it's actually a misnomer in it's current form, as it refers to the CD-Text Album Title. I would like to see the Disc Title field from the very top of the General Info area, such that if one had a CD Album named "MASTERv2-June252015", you c...

Album Publishing file name fields

Can we have more options from the CD/SACD tab General Info section appear as usable file name fields during Album Publishing? I'd love to see (at least): Disc Title Master ID Code Ref Code This would really help with the automatic generation of logical file names when an album has multiple versions....

Amazing Graemme! That's exactly as I had hoped it would work. Now why isn't this documented in the manual I wonder?

Mixer snapshots not removing vst plugins

When starting a new mastering session I have a clean plugin-free mixer. I store a snapshot of that mixer state in the document library. Then when mastering a song I might use a vst plugin or two on a track or bus. So I store another mixer snapshot with these plugins in place. When I move on to the n...

Thanks for trying it out Graemme.

I wonder if it is specific to 64 bit as I'm on 64 bit here as well.

Re: BSODs after sample rate change - Hapi and Ravenna ASIO

I haven't seen this on my systems (Horus and either Native PMX, Sequoia, RX4 or MassCore PMX). It isn't always smooth sailing when changing SR or computers but no BSOD (he says, touching wood...) Do you have the 'Auto' setting enabled on the setup/Format page? Hmm. I wonder how much my non-Merging-...

BSODs after sample rate change - Hapi and Ravenna ASIO

I seem to be encountering a fairly consistent and repeatable BSOD scenario: - use Hapi and Ravenna ASIO driver at 96k with Pyramix - close Pyramix, switch Hapi to 44.1k - open another program that calls the Ravenna ASIO driver at 44.1k (in my case both Samplitude and Sonoris DDP Creator do this), an...

Re: Handling dual mono files (converting to interleaved ster

Uhmmm... There is an easier way: In the Media Management window, select the directory of files to be "interleaved" In the MM window's 'Media Folder' sub-menu, choose 'Mounting Rules' and select the 3rd entry in the top section that relates to multi-channel files. Hit OK and your .L/.R fil...

Could this be due to the fact that I am running the 64 bit version of Pyramix and JRiver MC is 32 bit and therefore not able to access the 64 bit MT ASIO driver?

Re: HAPI / HORUS and monitoring

The following is 'somewhat informed' speculation that I won't be able to test until I'm back in the studio next week: On the same PC as Pyramix is installed and running, using JRiver's MediaCenter (JRMC) application running on the MT ASIO Bridge driver: Set JRMC output to upsample to your SR of cho...

Re: Handling dual mono files (converting to interleaved ster

Just wanted to report back that the combo of Advanced Renamer and the Media Manager Quick Export function (w/ one file per track unchecked) has proven to be a quick and easy way to interleave large numbers of files.

Problem solved, thanks again!

Re: HAPI / HORUS and monitoring

Maybe you need a monitor controller like this: http://www.gracedesign.com/products/m920/m920.htm or this: http://www.gracedesign.com/products/m905/m905.htm OK, just kidding, the SPDIF to AES converter is a workaround, but the hardware SRC is a better one, if you have one lying around. Another way i...

Re: HAPI / HORUS and monitoring

These are both good workarounds, thanks for your help. I actually have a good hardware src sitting idle here anyway so I'll likely give that a try. Cheers!

Re: HAPI / HORUS and monitoring

Can you not just use two of the AES inputs on HAPI (using a Neutrik SPDIF/AES transformer) for the CD Player and Media Server. With the Media Server, you would have to find an optical converter or dispense with the optical. Or better still use JRiver on the PC. :) Yes, I can see it that far, gettin...
