Re: Izotope RX crashing with regularity in v10

How does monitoring work when playing clips within the Renovator window? Is it through the mixer on the channels the clips are rendered from?

Re: Izotope RX crashing with regularity in v10

Thank you Mark!

mpdonahue wrote:1) Select area (I've done as many as 80 tracks at a time)
2) Press Control+W
3) choose renovator and hit enter
4) remove noise
5) hit ok and the clip is inserted and you're on to the next.
I can remove a simple noise in about 15 seconds.
All the best,

RX and RX Connect are causing no end of problems today. Can someone describe the Renovator workflow in Pyramix? Thinking of jumping ship.

Re: DSD pricing anomaly

All of my systems (Including a Masscore STD) include native audio support. So if I'm understanding this correctly, I could upgrade from my Native Essentials to Masscore STD, but continue to use it in Native mode with my non-Masscore-spec PC? If so, this does seem like the most cost-effective path t...

Re: Ravenna Masscore versus Native (ASIO) stability

Disable the Wifi. Also run DPC latency checker. and the CDROM drive, Bluetooth, IEEE 1394 Firewire, Webcam, Card Reader and any other hardware not used. Then check DPC latency. Thank you for the suggestions. I was able to fix the Hapi AES issue by rolling back to firmware 3.0.5_28606, and with the ...

Re: HAPI muting AES inputs when 2nd external AES loop is mad

Heard back from Merging, this is now a confirmed issue with the Hapi firmware. The last firmware version that does not show the issue is 3.0.5_28606.

Re: HAPI muting AES inputs when 2nd external AES loop is mad

As far as I can tell, the only other thing that changed before this behaviour began was the HAPI firmware update to 3.0.70b28889. Figured I might as well try rolling back the HAPI firmware while I'm at it, so I went back to 3.0.3_26178 and lo! it works normally again. Does this mean I've discovered...

Re: HAPI muting AES inputs when 2nd external AES loop is mad

And I just went back to the last v9 ASIO driver, in case that was somehow the problem - but no, same behaviour with the v9.1.6 ASIO driver.

As far as I can tell, the only other thing that changed before this behaviour began was the HAPI firmware update to 3.0.70b28889.

Re: HAPI muting AES inputs when 2nd external AES loop is mad

Hi Silas, I had the buffer at 256. I just tried 128 and 64, no change. I just did some further testing too - it seems that plugging in the 2nd AES loop to the Weiss eq actually does allow signal to pass on the AES 2 input, but it mutes AES input 1 as soon as the AES 2 loop is connected. So strange! ...

HAPI muting AES inputs when 2nd external AES loop is made

The setup: - AES out 1 > AES in 1 - I can play digital audio through this loop just fine - add AES out 2 > Weiss eq > AES in 2 - as soon as this loop is made all AES inputs mute At first I thought it was the Weiss eq at fault, but I tried a few different pieces of gear in that spot and get the same ...

Re: Ravenna Masscore versus Native (ASIO) stability

Are you using the Ethernet ports for any other duties - controllers or internet connection? Are there multiple NICs on the computer? I ask because with Auto-IP there can be conflicts. I recently switched to having HAPI on fixed IP (on a different range than my controller) and it resolved my connect...

Re: Ravenna Masscore versus Native (ASIO) stability

Hi Klaukholm, I've just updated to PMX 9.1.10, and I have the latest ASIO driver and firmware (added these specs to my signature too). I'm going to take another look at the recommended Win7 tweaks and see if there is anything I've missed. I'll start a new thread if any repeatable issues crop up. Tha...

Re: Ravenna Masscore versus Native (ASIO) stability

Hi Silas, I appreciate your response. Stability - in short, neither is more stable than the other in my experience. Perhaps just a different balance of things to worry about. Yes, I think that is exactly what I was wondering - if it was more a matter of trading for a different set of concerns. Thank...

Ravenna Masscore versus Native (ASIO) stability

I'm currentIy running PMX Native / Hapi with the Ravenna ASIO driver here in the mastering room. Is there anything to be gained as far as overall system / Ravenna stability goes by upgrading to Masscore? Generally I'm loving the PMX / Hapi combo, but I do get some occasional weirdness (like Hapi spo...
