CD Markers, MarkGroups

1. Remove 99 numbering limit. This is an anachronism and unnecessary. 2. Make CD Mark groups optionally work on a selection of clips. 3. When manually adding CD markers, default the name to the clip name, like CD Mark Groups does, "CD Start Marker" is very unhelpful and always requires man...

Re: Automatic Take Naming/Numbering

In the clip rename feature, is there any way to stop the auto number increment across tracks within a clip. This makes the renumber function useless. I cannot renumber clips sequentially if they are multichannel clips. An old complaint I see. http://forum.merging.com/viewtopic.php?f=4&t=4503&...

Re: a few 11.1.5 issues

Frequent really slow mixer rebuilds. High flashing CPU warnings (in status bar) due to plugins but when not in playback. I would have thought no CPU use when not playing. Izotope 7 Maximiser main culprit, but other plugs as well.

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?

I have just in-placed upgraded W10 1607 LTSB to the just released 1809 LTSC and it went very smoothly and fast. Pyramix Native running just fine on 1809 LTSC.

Re: a few 11.1.5 issues

Haven't experienced those on Native yet, but have experienced the following with 11.1.5. W10 1607. 1. Frequent unsolicited mixer rebuilds and autosaves taking a long time, up to 5 or 6 secs. Accompanied by complete unresponsiveness of the application. 2. Very laggy dragging of clip edges when more t...

Re: Horus AES/EBU input: Is it 24 in/out or 12 in/12 out?

The (3) DB25 connectors on the Horus are clearly marked (AES 1-8) (AES 9-16) (AES 17-24). This suggests there are 24 inputs, however the manual describes using the typical Tascam AES pinout of 4 in/4 out per DB25 connector. The manual also reads: 3 x D-SUB25 connectors providing 24 channels (12 AES...

Re: VST/VST3 Plugins blacklisted - can’t use them

I had the same problem with a recent install of the Lexicon PCM Native Reverb set. Four of the plugins were blacklisted. A rescan and reinstall didn't help. But the following advice from Merging did. 1- Close Pyramix and go to C:\ProgramData\Merging Technologies\Plugins then… 2- Rename or delete the...

Re: Wave Lab 9.5 or Pyramix Native Standard

I was a WL user for many years in small scale acoustic classical recording work (32ch max). I loved the markers, batch processor, mastering flexibility and clip based FX and the montage. But Pyramix was an eye opener 8O . The absolutely wonderful 4 point source destination editing, with a multichann...

Re: Win10 users - don't click on "Check for Updates"

I run W10 Ent LTSB here. Long Term Service Branch. It only receives security updates, nothing else changes. Extremely stable. Worth pursuing for a DAW. A new version of it us due to be released early next year. So that's a three year update cycle instead of one month.

Pan Envelope Editing

Much like the volume envelop curves that one can node edit easily, it would be great to have these for pan as well without needing to record and nudge automation just to get the curve up for node editing. Also being able to copy these curves to other tracks would be great too. Object editing please.

Re: Metronome issue still relevant?

Hi Tom, I know this doesn't answer your question, but I have been using the metronome this week extensively with resampled WAVs, and it works perfectly. I would never trust PMX to resample on the fly, constantly, while using the provided single sample rate WAV's. Its a simple matter to resample and ...

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?

I love PMX on W10, could never go back to W7. Much better speed, memory and resource management, drivers for new discs, the list goes on.
Being able to edit with PMX on a 40 inch 4K monitor in high DPI modes is transformative.
