Re: VST3 in 11.1.4

Thanks Mark. I will install the Sonnox VST3s today.

Ryan, when I look in the VST Plugin setting, I have THREE VST3Waveshells (WaveShell1, WaveShell2, WaveShell3). And they are all blacklisted.

Thanks for continuing to make Pyramix better.

VST3 in 11.1.4

Just wondering if anyone else is having trouble with VST3 in 11.1.4? I have tried loading some WAVES VST3 plugs and I see load times of nearly 2 minutes. That's with the blue circle spinning on screen. They also slow down the reaction time when switching the mixer between Mix and Config. When I load...

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

Thanks again for all the help.
At this point, it looks like I'm staying at 1709. Every time i try to update to 1803 (different builds) I get the "This update not applicable to your computer" message.

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

Thanks for your help, guys. 11.1.4 is running smoothly on win10 1709.
I guess the question now is how "at risk" am I staying with an out of date OS?

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

Frank, After reading the AskWoody site, I'm searching ebay for an 8 track Scully machine and an Auditronics console! And a splicing block!

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

Mark, I forgot to turn off said programs.
When I do turn them off, will the latest incarnation of 1803 work, or should I stick with the build listed on Merging site?
Thanks

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

I don't know about dead quiet, but I would have been dead in the water had it not been for a C drive image backup. Frank, i did uninstall via "programs" in Control Panel. When I updated Windows 10 via the "settings" page it was a newer build than is listed in Merging's compatible...

Re: Oh by the way, Pyramix Version 11.1.4 was released

Reinstalling did not work. Starting to get worried.

I saw in the release notes that 11.1.4 was qualified with Win10 1803 I went ahead and upgraded Windows.

Fortunately I made a image of my C drive just in case.

Re: Laptop to replace desktop?

Thanks for the input, gentlemen. @ljudatervinning, It sounds like the course of wisdom would be to continue on with a PC for heavy lifting and get a lightweight laptop for remote tracking. @tonzauber, I am intrigued by your intel nuc. I thought that they were strictly for hobbiest applications. I'll...

Laptop to replace desktop?

Just looking for some recommendations. I may need to re-purpose my desktop Pyramix PC. Would it be advisable to replace it with a current laptop model? As I ponder it I see that I would have to come up with an outboard hard drive solution . I have 4 HDs and 2 SSDs in my current rig. Plus I run 2 x 4...

library monitoring no audio

Hola For some reason i have lost the ability to audition audio clips in my document library that have been [alt=shift] dragged from the timeline. The manual is not much help. Here's an example of what I'm experiencing. https://www.dropbox.com/s/j6jg3uzsftadnbs/PMX_AUDITION_DOCLIB.mp4?dl=0 Any ideas?...

Re: One instance of PMX Already Running

...and speaking of tinkering.... this is not PMX related but an example of how frustrating it is when software and drivers and hardware just decide that TODAY is your day. I had a Focusrite Scarlet 6i6 that was getting the annoying "No Hardware Connected" nonsense so I replaced it and gave...

Re: One instance of PMX Already Running

UPDATE FYI:

I followed the steps outlined above and the only thing highlighted is Pyramix and under the processes page no other items were highlighted.
three Merging processes were running along with scores of other things. I don't think that sheds any light.
