Re: start new file without stopping record

This has been on the requested feature list since 2004.... The best workaround is the following: Create Macro as follows: Click "New Macro" Name Macro Internal Machine: Stop Macro Tools: Wait for Cursor Update Internal Machine: Record In Keyboard Shortcut Editor assign new macro to an easy...

Re: Talkback button behaviour request

Of course, make it programmable with options, but for professional classical production the current non latching just does not work for most producers. A somewhat standard behaviour is expected as implemented by Stagetec, DoTec etc. Coming late to the conversation seeing that Florian has already ad...

Re: Time for a new PC

I have been experimenting with my MassCore licence and the SMP key, just added. Even with this capability, a master buss with more than one or two demanding VST plugins is still struggling. As I understand from Mark's helpful explanations, one strip of VST's remains single threaded. I have spectral...

Re: Hapi Sample Rate in Masscore

Preston, you can make any device the master of everything else on the network by creating a sample rate zone in aneman and putting whatever device you want, (pyramix, hapi, Horus ... Etc) in the box at the top of the square and moving all the other devices you want to control within that sample rate...

Re: Time for a new PC

If what you're saying is true, then this is disheartening. I was getting pretty good performances on the same machine, running V8 masscore. I'd hate to think we've taken a step backwards. There's no getting around it- VST plugs are critical to our work. I'd still like to hear of any recent builds u...

Sounds like either an anti-virus or windows update issue.

Mykerinos only works under 32bit OS..... There were 32 bit versions up to PMX v9.1

Re: MT Security Control panel problem

Stupid questions. What version are you using? Are the keys for that version? (You need new keys for the major versions) Have you done any windows updates? Have you checked the installed updates against the merging blacklist? ( https://confluence.merging.com/pages/viewpage.action?pageId=25755762 ) Di...

Re: VST installations

Have you tried re-installing the plugins? have you checked to see if they are blacklisted at the bottom of the list (They will be in red). Have you done a Full ReScan of the VST & VST3? Also, I would strongly suggest you update the installs and be sure to include the VST3 versions as well as the...

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?

We've been using hotswap drives for production drives for well over 20 years (All the way back in the Sonic days...). Storcase, supermicro, scsi, ide,sata...we have been using raw drive (trayless) for the past 10 years or so. I could never go back. My comment is that you do not need to swap drives t...

Re: Windows 7 compatibility?

Preston, FWIW, I run both Win7 and Win10 LTSB as a dual boot on the same machine (Massocre Extended v11.1.5). I can not deal with the requirement to do updates every quarter as Win10pro requires. LTSB gives a very stripped down experience with no bloat and security only updates. However, I still do ...

Re: PC AudioLabs verses Apple MacBook Pro

We have a bunch of laptops here, but we only use them for editing on the road and occasionally as recorders for small recordings (Less than 16 channels) We've had good luck with the Lenovo W540. They are old, but seem to keep on working Running Win7pro with an M.2 drive as boot and the internal SATA...

Re: Win10 users - don't click on "Check for Updates"

One of the most useful things about WSUSoffline update is that you can create a custom blacklist for updates. All you need to do is copy and paste the merging blacklisted KB numbers from the confluence page into this text file: \wsusoffline\client\ExcludeList.txt Also, please remember to do security...

Re: Win10 users - don't click on "Check for Updates"

All I can say is that we are running 13 systems here and I will not upgrade any of them to windows 10. Windows 7 is rock solid and does not have all the extra bloat and automatic updates. On the systems I did test W10 on, I saw a noticeable increase in system instability and the administrator and pe...

Yes, Skip 11.1.4.
