Re: Video reference generator - suggestions?

If I'm not mistaken, the Tentacle systems distribute timecode, not sync. If there is a clock rate difference between camera and audio system, you will get drift on long takes.

Re: ANEMAN - "Too many streams" error, MAD asio

I have this problem on my MacBook Pro, running current driver package. However running an older version, as recommended for Mac M1 machines, Aneman worked flawlessly.

The recommended current version of Mac driver, on Intel machines works very poorly for me.

Active discussion on Pyramix computer construction

Are there any current discussion threads on building a machine for Pyramix?

I'm long overdue to update my machine. Looking for recommendations for processor and mobo.

Re: Feeding the 10Mhz clock as Hapi wordclock input

10mHz in won't work, and is pointless. Also, 10mHz is not an integer multiple of any common audio sampling frequency. If you have a clock with an internal 10mHz master clock, and conventional outputs at audio sampling rates, you might hear a difference, but it may not be an improvement. You are addi...

Re: Inquiry about how to use Horus in OS Big sur

My Anubis and Hapi work fine on my M1 mini. I did an install on two systems and may not have properly followed the install procedure for Aneman or the AES67 driver on one of the two installations. It can work. Pay special attention to the security approvals. If you are reading the install procedure ...

Clock/Sync best practices

I'm having trouble finding info on synchronization best practices with Merging converters when operating in Ravenna systems. In the past, doing location recording when using conventional AES/EBU connected converters, our practice has always been to use the A-D converter for the main mics as as the p...

Re: Window controls offscreen

Thanks Frank, As you can imagine, I've tried most of those things. The bug however must be in some file specific to this project. Moving a UI specific setting out of the C drive did no good. This is kind of a minor project- a busy time thing in this slow pandemic period. I don't need to change the d...

Window controls offscreen

In V11, and all previous versions, often windows and palates have portions that are not completely on screen. Usually there is something I can grab or pull to allow me to move the window. Today I'm having a problem that the Dither control palate is extending up and beyond the upper left corner of th...

CD Import Database

Is the feature to import track titles from remote database now dead?

I've heard that the free servers might be going down. Being able to retrieve titles is a great thing when doing broadcast work.

Re: Mixdowns missing

What happens if you now switch back to the original file destination?

I don't have time to find out. Under a deadline. Perhaps I'll try later.

Re: Mixdowns missing

Stupid question, do you have unique filename box checked?

No, as these mixes are going out to a client, and the unique file name will only annoy them.

However, each mixdown is giving a unique title and therefore file name.

Re: Mixdowns missing

UPDATE:
I changed the destination to another drive and it worked. This however is not a suitable solution.

Windows or Pyramix issue?

Mixdowns missing

I did several mixes yesterday, and all went well. Mixing again today, I am running mixdowns, yet the files don't appear anywhere on my machine. The destination is the same folder as yesterday. I did a search for the mixdown filenames and they don't appear anywhere on the machine. Pyramix V11 Windows...

When BWF

Using BWF files has proved problematic in the past in cases where Pyramix places files based on the BWF chunk, rather than file name, which is a problem when there are children files created after working with external processing (iZotope RX for example.) Will using BWF make surround channel/file ha...

Re: Surround Channel Order - plugins

A related problem is that things get really messy if you have a mix beyond 8 channels.

It took me a bit to figure out how to accommodate a 5.1.4 mix when Flux only gives you the option of mapping 8 tracks.
