Auditioning loops

Hi all, I don't know how many people read this forum, it doesn't appeared to be well used, but worth a try. I have Ovation Native which was bought for a purpose, that purpose has come and gone but I maintain the software for the odd occasion I need it. I was using it yesterday and wanted a cue to st...

Re: Avid Artist Transport

Hi Steven, I don't know if this is relevant but I am using the Avid MC Transport not the Dock. I am not in front of my system at the moment so this is all from memory. The way I got this to work is to have two soft keys, one programmed to "jog" the other "shuttle" The jog wheel w...

Avid Artist Transport

I've just started using this device with Pyramix, but the jog and shuttle control doesn't work as I expect. The manuals suggest they should work without any softkey selection, but neither jog or shuttle works on Pyramix. I can make the jog control work with a softkey user control selected, but nothi...

Re: Simple controller for volume automation?

Hi,

There are quite a few controllers out there which cost less than the S3. Have you considered Behringer X-Touch?

Re: WAV files not seen upon return to PMX

Yes, I did this a few versions ago as well for the solution, but this time it is not seeing it. Also, this works fine for "complete" files, but when you do a bunch of snippets for manual noise removal, and then it doesn't see them - NIGHTMARE. Indeed a nightmare, I'm at a bit of loss too....

Re: WAV files not seen upon return to PMX

Hello, Yes. Save to different folder. Save to different drive. Make another copy. The file just doesn't get recognized by PMX and the original file remains upon reopen. What was the RX problem - same with PMX to RX and back in or just working in RX? Save a stereo file as a BWAV (without unique ID n...

This sounds very similar to a problem I was having with RX. Have you tried saving back to a different folder?

What were you saying it being dead quiet on the forum after a new version release?

Re: Select all clips under cursor within a track group

Try this: Click on a track - the top track within a clip you want to select. Do not release the click yet. Press & hold down shift. Drag your mouse down to select more tracks. Release mouse click, then release shift. Make any changes to all the selected tracks. Tasks like clip gain, reset envel...

Re: Select all clips under cursor within a track group

I have been struggling with selection av multiple clips inside a clip group. Found this thread when searching for solutions. This would be a good solution. Has any alternative solution emerged since 2007? In a word, no! This is still a feature of Pyramix, and an annoying one too. I've moved on sinc...

Re: Pyramix 11 + Tango?

Hi Georg, I own a dead Tango 2. A few years ago the SSD failed midway through a mixing project. I moved over to my Artist Mix to finish the project and then replaced the SSD. That all appeared to work so I returned my Tango to the cupboard ready for the next project to come along. I don't use it all...

Good point, though of course anyone who has made a successful transition to another platform will not be shouting about it on this forum.

and the ubersad thing is:...it is not going to change any time soon. I feel your pain. I can honestly say that I have not spent 15,000 hours in front of Pyramix, but it has been my primary DAW since 2003. I think I've given it a fair chance. I won't go into the details but I've recently had a night...

Re: Horus/hapi with fiber connection

Nistov, and all, I have one more question. When you lay fiber cables how do you protect sc connectors? Those little end caps are the first line of defence but I find they ALWAYS get lost. Don't worry about that. You can buy fibre end cleaners but they cost a lot when a bit of water and a clean clot...
