Re: Pyramix display blurry

And the bonus is that this little app also works for Win7, so that big long explanation I gave a few messages ago, is moot. This is a very a handy little utility.

Re: Clip Properties

On my Win10 test system, running 1803, I do not experience this problem. Right clicking on a clip in the timeline, or a file in the Media Manager, and getting the Properties yields the expected window with the expected information. It would seems it's a conflict between Pyramix and 1809. I noticed t...

Re: Pyramix display blurry

I found an answer for Win10 1803 Creators Update - which is the system we're all supposed to be running in order to be compatible with Pyramix 11.1.5. Apparently earlier versions of Win10 had a font size slider in the Ease of Access Settings but, well, you know, Microsoft and progress... All you can...

Re: Pyramix display blurry

As someone who has struggled for years with the tiny fonts used by Windows, as well as getting nose prints all over my monitor from squinting to see what is being displayed in Pyramix, I feel your pain. You've discovered that using the Windows Control Panel > Display setting to anything other than 1...

Re: Where is In Place

There are busses, and then there are busses... The Mix Groups/Buses and Aux Groups/Buses route audio from strips to their respective summing masters. However a Panning Control Bus, in the words of the manual, "does not process audio and has no Channels, no associated Output Strip and no I/O. An...

Re: MTFF Playback Application

If you generate a PMI you can simply edit the file name to change the file extension from .pmi to .wav, which plays just fine on just about any media player.

It might be interesting to see whether the same trick can be applied to an MTFF file (changing .mtff to .wav), as I haven't tried that yet.

Re: Automation copy from V8 to V11

The fastest thing would be to let your project remain with its "Legacy" busses, which will also retain all your automation. The Legacy Bus structure works just fine in version 11, and I believe it was included here for just your purpose - to allow compatibility for older projects.

Re: Modified Keystrokes

Yeah, I saw something similar. Yet when to do export a list of keyboard commands, you will see the ones you've modified yourself, along with all the defaults. I guess it's up to you to remember which is which. As an alternative to that, you could save your current set up as a Shortcut Set, and print...

Re: Where is In Place

Take a look in the manual on page 298. There appears to be a "All In Place" setting available through the View/Hide box at the bottom of each Strip.

I'm just assuming that Dither is always applied as the final process, so in this case, after any and all word length and sample rate conversion.

Re: Dither in Album Publishing

Remember that Album publishing is a two step process. The first step, when you choose "Digital Release" as the output in the "Generate CD Image/SACD Edited Master" window, is the generation of a single "master" MTFF file which is used as the source for all subsequent ge...

Re: Memory

There does seem to be a benefit, in terms of processor load, to the use of VST3 over VST2, but this will vary from plug-in to plug-in.

Re: Modified Keystrokes

In the Keyboard Shortcuts Editor window, you'll see the option for "Save Table" on the right side at the bottom. As it says in the Manual on page 510, "A table can be exported as a Text File along with some comments about commands. This is very useful since it enables you to print it ...

Re: Gates in/out functionality gone

The first thing to check is whether you've properly assigned the "Type" of the selected Track Group (in the Track Groups Tab) as a Source or Destination (if it's "Free" the Gates won't appear). Could your keyboard shortcuts for the Gates have been somehow reassigned? What happens...

Re: Odd clip/fade error happening

Two guesses: It sounds like you may have inadvertently enabled the Snap function, which is found way down at the bottom of the main window's Edit menu. If your cursor or Clips are snapping to the nearest frame boundary, for example - that's not exactly sample accurate, and you can wind up with tiny ...
