Re: Click at the end of master files!

The reason I suggested that it's an "old" problem is that I have some dim recollection of seeing just that issue mentioned in the Pyramix Release Notes for some past version. Now you say that the same process using Pyramix 11.1.5 is click free, so it's possible that my dim recollection is ...

Re: Click at the end of master files!

If I recall correctly, that's an old bug that seems to have resurfaced. I'd contact support@merging.com directly to see if there is a remedy.

Re: MT Security Control panel problem

Ah, so it's Google that's translating..., that explains a bit. There's no "c" in "Frank". And while I'm at it, there's no "h" in "want". Whenever I see "whant" in one of your posts, it conjures up the cartoon image of the "typical" Frenchma...

Re: MT Security Control panel problem

Bernard, Sadly, the latest version of Windows 10, version 1809, has caused serious problems all over the world, for many users and many types of 3rd party software. Subsequent efforts by Microsoft have not fixed things yet. The most recent version of Win10 supported by Merging is 1803. Unfortunately...

Re: Time / Date Field in Notes Tab

Seeing as it's part of the unique Project data, it will vary from Project to Project, much the same as the date shown in the main Settings > Project > General, although there doesn't appear to be any connection between the two. The date in the Settings appears to be that most recently entered by the...

Re: Aux send on Master Group

Yes, Mix Busses don't have Aux. Sends, but Aux. Groups do. Instead of using a Mix Bus to combine your Bass mic and DI, use an Aux. Group and insert the External Insert plug-in (VS3 - you'll find it in the "Other" category). This will allow you to send the combined signal, mixed as you choo...

Re: Failing to (re)install Pyramix

Perhaps I've misunderstood, but are you saying that you've tried to install Pyramix 10 on a 32 bit Windows system? That'd do it... If I'm wrong, and you're running Windows with the proper "bittedness" for the version of Pyramix in question, then, well, oops. Was there an installation log c...

Re: Failing to (re)install Pyramix

Since you mentioned "stupidly simple" (and perhaps easy to forget)... Have you called up MTControl Panel to tell Pyramix to look for the Babyface? Or do whatever is required to connect it to your Hapi? If Pyramix can't find an audio interface, it won't start. You could try installing ASIO4...

Re: Keyboard Shortcuts interfering with naming

I encountered a similar problem when I wanted to set up single key shortcuts similar to what you want. I discovered that most of the keys to the left of of a line defined by the 6, y. h and n keys (on a QWERTY keyboard) are hard coded into Pyramix, and cannot be assigned without causing the kind of ...

Re: native latency rates- what's yours?

That number at the bottom of the Pyramix screen will vary depending on a few factors, most notably the latency setting you've chosen for your ASIO interface (should you be using one), as well as the number of plug-ins in use, combined with their maximum Delay Compensation setting (Settings > Mixer >...

Re: ASIO4all no go

I should expect ASIO4ALL to not function while some other PB system is on. Not "system", but "application" or "program". AFAIK, I cannot 'disable' the MBP's usual speaker or phones to 'make way' for ASIO4ALL. That's not how it works. ASIO4All accesses the speakers or p...

Re: ASIO4all no go

Mark, What is the sample rate of the audio you're trying to play? Higher than 48 kHz? If so, that could be the source of your problem. There's a trick to getting ASIO4All to play higher sample rates, provided your computer's hardware supports them: you have to disable all of its Analog Inputs, which...

Re: What do folks do for talkback over Ravenna?

How are you running the Ravenna/Ethernet connection between your Control Room and the Stage? Is it by any chance part of a house wiring system? I'm wondering if a second networked connection, just between talk-back mic and stage speaker could be arranged, that would free you of the necessity of runn...

Re: Wave Lab 9.5 or Pyramix Native Standard

Short answer: Yes, and yes. I think that the hardest thing you'll encounter when switching to Pyramix is that the terminology for various familiar concepts, objects and processes is going to be different. Sadly, this is the case for all DAWs, perhaps as a means of insuring user loyalty by making the...

Re: 11.1.5 "Playback Record Stall" window on all recording

A few words about LatencyMon... First and foremost, LatencyMon is a program which can help you IDENTIFY processes and/or drivers which cause interruptions which can disrupt real-time audio operations - it does not FIX them. However, once identified, even if the result is some cryptically named softw...
