Editing in DSD
Hi, I'm going to try editing some DSD files in DXD. I have had problems with crossfades in the past and wonder if someone (Graemme) could clear up something. After adding a crossfade - when I bring the file back to the DSD side for playback there is a click where the crossfade is. Even if I render t...

Pyramix and Tango
Hi, I have just received an email from Smart Av indicating that they are about to start Beta testing for their new control surface -Tango, with Pyramix. For those who have not seen this (I think) remarkable controller at a reasonable price here is the link. http://www.smartav.net/. It works on the O...

Using Playlists
Hi, I have a session tomorrow and I don't quite get the Playlist record function. I've read the manual and it says that Pyramix must chase an LTC input. The only external device I have is the Virtual Transport. Will this work? I tried it but I cannot get it to loop or record properly. Pyramix 6 SP1 ...

Re: Pyramix & Speakerphone, Altiverb. VST Error 027
Oh, well I suppose some of those posts were mine. I am happy to report that Altiverb 6.2.1 works splendidly with PMX SP1 Mass Core and normal mode.
No more crashes.

Re: Pyramix & Speakerphone, Altiverb. VST Error 027
Hello, You might try this. Open your VST Scanner, remove the older Altiverb plug-ins and do a force scan to find the new version of Altiverb that you have installed. If you haven't done this when you launch Altiverb in the mixer it tries to bring up the older plug-in. Anyway, this worked for me as I...

Anyone using an Analog console?
Hi, I have an opportunity? to pick up a used CS2000 Euphonix console on the cheap. Is anyone using an analog console anymore for mixing or just in the box or using summing amps. I am curious to find out what other Mass Core users are doing. Is there a sonic advantage? Does anyone use a Euphonix? Als...

Re: Altiverb 6 and Speakerphone
Hi, I don't know about speakerphone but Altiverb 6 works fine now with SP1. In non mass core PMX you can still use it only on the input channels not on the stereo mix. You will use up quite a bit of processing power maybe up to 8 channels will be possible. In Mass core the usage is not very signific...

Re: Pyramix 6.0 CD Image and Mixdown BUG
Hi, I have dealt with Altiverb issues before and have been impressed with the care and dedicated response of both the Altiverb and Merging teams. I know there are still issues to be worked out but that is where choice comes in. Nobody insisted that you use Altiverb as a reverb. There are other inter...

VST Overload
Hi, I am running Mass Core 48 on a dual core Intel board. When I add Altiverb to the mixer there is a VST red flashing line that gets bigger with each channel added. Right now I have Altiverb 6 on 2 channels and one stereo mix bus. There is a red line blinking and it says 1280 Smpl/26.7ms (low) On a...

Re: Memory Errors
I have not had this problem but, wouldn't it be wise to have an automatic save that gave a sequential number extension for each time it saved? That would certainly relieve some of the anxiety of not being able to open your program, especially if a client is sitting next to you.
Can we do this?

Re: merging kicking off V.4.x users
Hello Bodo, I cannot speak to the issue of large projects but as far as VST and Altiverb I have had a lot of experience over the past year. The first issue came up with VB plugins conflicting with Altiverb. When I went to Mass Core I still had to deal with this issue. However, I have recently had th...

Re: MCU Pro functions in V6
Hi Sylvain,
I was looking at your list of functions for the mackie Universal Pro control. I find that the surround panning does work by selecting a channel and using vpot Pan/Surround
5-L-R
6-Front/Back
7- width
8 - volume
Maybe there also are some other functions now.
