Re: V9.1.10 on W10 problem

Hm, I am dualbooting, W7 and W10. So no need for the dongle routine. For now W10 seems to work decently with my Soundscape/Pyramix installation. Only Pyramix V9 crashes with more than 30 asio IO enabled in soundscape. And V9 does not see my mapped network drives under W10, but I can access them thro...

Re: V9.1.10 on W10 problem

Thanks David, I found your answer on Gearslutz about the same time you posted here ;-) I am always sweating like crazy and have anxiety attacks when installing Pyramix. I don't understand why it must be such a hassle, my stone-age old Soundscape drivers install like a breeze, sseditor.exe too, with ...

V9.1.10 on W10 problem

Hello, I had this running on a previous W10 version, without problems. Now I did a fresh W10 install (1709), and the very same Pyramix V9.1.10 (64bit) installer does not complete. During "copying files" (after registry edit), it suddenly stops and gives "rolling back", and the me...

difference general rehearsal - live takes - mixer ?

Hello, I am coming from 20 years of Soundscape, where you can assign any output to any take/part in the edit. In the mixer you can also put more than one playback track / strip - this is irrelevant in this case. This means, I can give the 8-track live take output 1-8, and the rehearsal takes 9-16. I...

Re: Jbridge

I got a friendly mail by David Jacques of Merging, and he pointed me in the right direction. It is this simple: I did not realize I was supposed to put the 32 bit vst in the (64 bit) vst folder for Pyramix 9. It was not entirely clear in the documentation that Pyramix would invoke jbridge automatica...

Re: Jbridge

The vst plugins are surely not to blame. I have been using them for a long time, on multiple hosts.

The avast shield causing the crash has nothing to do with jbridge not functioning in Pyramix.
I should have split this over two threads.

Re: Which ASIO interface do you use ?

I am using RME madiface on a laptop (the expresscard version) without problems. I am also using SSL Soundscape Mixpander9 on an older PC, and a MX4 on a Windows 7 64 bit PC. Both work without any problems. The MX 4 gives me 128io on two madi ports, at lower latencies. I haven't been able yet to get ...

Re: Jbridge

Avast is blocking something, hence the crash on a full vst rescan. Switching off avast solves the problem of the crashes. Switching on avast and indicating the merging pyramix folder as an exception still gives the same problem. Does anybody know where some more pyramix .exes or .dlls are hiding ? W...

Re: Jbridge

I installed the latest PyramixVirtualStudio_9.1.6_HotFix_Build25336_x64 What else can one do ? I have an endless list of bugs in Pyramix, one of these days I will start posting/reporting them one by one. I used to be betatester for Soundscape. That took us a few hours/year, as the beta releases were...

Jbridge

Hello,

is anybody using Jbridge in Pyramix 9 64 bit succesfully ?
It works for me in other aplications, but Pyramix still does not show the 32bit vsts I bridged.

On another note, what is up with the recurring crashes on VST rescan ?

Re: PMX v9 install problems

I have to concur. I have Avast as well, and on my first Pyramix 9 64bit installation attempt everything went wrong. I had to revert back to a previous restore point (which in fact gave an error message, but did the restore anyway). Now I installed the latest V9.1 version, but first disabled all Avas...

Re: V8.1 upgrade from V6.2 - bug disappointment

I always use the recording track group to duplicate the source tracks from, so that is not it. I also sometime ago mixed down a cd image made of bad takes. V6 mixed down from a source track, not the only destination track. Since then, I always make sure the destination track is selected. It forsakes...

Re: V8.1 upgrade from V6.2 - bug disappointment

But that is ludicrous and utterly unprofessional ! Do the Merging team realize what happens to THEIR public image when a chef comes in to listen to the soundcheck, only for us to realize that on playback ALL tracks are playing through the wrong mixer channels ? If that bug is still there, a. bugrepo...

Re: V8.1 upgrade from V6.2 - bug disappointment

Yes, well, I think that lately, a lot of Merging's resourses have been diverted to Horus development (and whatever the mini-Horus they're about to release), meaning that sadly, a number of issues remain unfixed. The best thing to do is complain directly to Support, as they do not read the forums al...
