Re: Secondary audio device in PMX 10.1.4

Update: Finally got this working! Yes you can use a USB DAC with an ASIO driver with PMX 10.1.4 Native! There is a delay to the secondary audio device because the audio passes through a sample rate converter, apparently whether it needs to or not. The delay can be minimal or horrendous depending on ...

Secondary audio device in PMX 10.1.4

Does anyone have this working in Pyramix Native? I want to use a secondary ASIO device for monitoring remotely. Is there some magic to this? I do see the changes in the Release Notes which causes me to wonder if I am missing and important step in getting it to work. I have configured the VS3 Control...

Re: Hapi battery questions

I received a reply from Guillaume in Merging tech support. He states: There is no current flowing back to the battery if powered by both battery and AC supply, power lines are protected with diodes. There is no shutoff point in Hapi, regulators on our power board can work with a voltage as low as 10...

Hapi battery questions

I powered my Hapi with one AKD8DP converter board with a 12v 8 ah LiFePO4 battery, no AC connection. I recorded 8 channels w/ phantom power for four hours before I shut it down. I'm not sure how much longer I could have recorded before battery depletion, perhaps I will test this some day. I have som...

Re: Redbook CD Track Names

Thanks for the tips Graemme! I have another question. I thought I figured out how to put a 3 second gap between tracks on my CD but I just played it back with MTCD Image Player and it is sans gaps. Could it be the gaps will end up on the physical media but not in the PMI playback? I hate wasting dis...

Re: Redbook CD Track Names

I just received and installed MTCD Image Player. It proved that PMX 9 is doing the right thing with regard to CD TEXT Titles. This is a very useful app, they should include it as part of the Master Package IMHO. If I had this tool from the start this thread would not have been created and I would ha...

Re: Redbook CD Track Names

OK, so I just read this bit from the HOFA CD-burn User Manual. "When playing a CD in your computer, you should be aware, that not every software player will show CD-Text information. Often the title information is downloaded from the internet, which can be different from the information that is...

Re: Redbook CD Track Names

Many questions: How are you checking the CD Text of your burned discs? Is it possible that that method is not capable of CD Text display? (Not all CD players display CD Text.) I am using Windows Media Player in W7 and iTunes under Mac OS X. I would think these apps would display track names but I c...

Redbook CD Track Names

What is the magic to getting track names to work when creating a CD. I read both the Quick Start Guide and the User Manual for PMX 9 and followed directions as best I could interpret them. I searched this forum as well. I'm only trying to fill in three fields per track: CDText Title, CDText Performe...

Re: Starting PMX without Plugins

I would find this feature helpful as well. No need to load plug-ins that you will not use during a tracking session. With all due respect, I have to confess that I just don't get why. It's not as if the VSTs engage any system resource (other than occupying hard-drive space) until you actively inser...

Re: Starting PMX without Plugins

I would find this feature helpful as well. No need to load plug-ins that you will not use during a tracking session. On a similar topic, is there a best way to remove all of the sample plug-ins that come bundled in PMX 9 but you know you will never want to purchase? Also, is there a way to kill a mi...

Auto-crossfade, also 16 bit mixdown output

What is the magic to get auto-crossfade to work? I have read every scrap of info on the subject that I can find but it still does not work. I'm talking about pushing one clip into another and getting an auto-crossfade. Same for dropping a clip on another. I cannot get 16 bit output to work in the mi...
