Re: Merging Emotion Music Server Beta - updates?
Hello Dmitry, The Emotion project has been frozen two years ago to concentrate all our energy on our new AoIP products... which, by the way, do extremely well. It is not yet defined if we will resume the Emotion project, but if so it will certainly not with the Mykerinos card which is for 64bits rea...

Re: save me?
Hi dears, Sorry for the inconvenience, but this is not a bug but a behavior that has been requested by some users who want to be absolutely sure they don't forget saving when closing/exiting and think that the system may sometime forget to tell them to. If this is an annoyance for you, or is more co...

Re: Mytek Stereo192-DSD
Hi Bruce,
Could you send us more details about what doesn't work and we'll contact Andreas immediately.
Only DSD ? Both DSD and PCM ? As many details as possible will help.
Thanks
Dom

Re: Another popular DAW
Hi Paulo/all,
We're carefully listening, don't worry... it's just that there are many other priorities.
We're perfectly aware that the Render FX Rack has to be improved, or even better solutions to be provided.
This is one of our next top priorities.
Cheers,
Dom

Re: Mytek Stereo192-DSD
Hi Ted,
You're not missing anything here. The Mytek does properly support DSD through USB/ASIO.
What I'm saying here is that, for those DACs which doesn't support DSD or ASIO 2.2 specification, Emotion automatically convert DSD to PCM.
The Mytek is not concerned here.
Cheers,
Dominique

Re: Another popular DAW
Hi dears, I won't comment on why Protools is more popular than Pyramix, there are certainly a lot of mistakes on our side, including definitely being smaller and missing massive marketing. I just wanted to send you a nice poster about Panurge Sheeps I saw 30 years ago at my father. It says all ;-) p...

Re: Mytek Stereo192-DSD
Hi Bruce, I must be a little more precise here. As far as DSD editing is concerned Pyramix currently supports two modes, "DSD mode" and "DXD mode". In DSD mode, files are edited in DSD 64fs, only fades and crossfades are authorized, no gain, no mix, no effects. Only DSD 64fs is s...

Re: Mytek Stereo192-DSD
Hi dears, Let me give a few answers to the various points mentioned in this thread. Merging is indeed currently working on an home/audiophile version of the Ovation live playout software called Emotion. This new product, frozen for now until Pyramix 8 completely finalized, will support playing PCM a...

Re: PT Export doesn't work with 8.0.1
Hi Andy, We unfortunately will not put any more efforts on the OMF module, except some Import bug fixes. The way to go now is AAF and next Pyramix version will come with a new and enhanced AAF module implementing what you ask for... and much more. Should be available very soon. Thanks for your patie...

Dear Thomas/all, Same answer tahn in thread: http://forum.merging.com/viewtopic.php?f=2&t=5600#p18137 : Please let me reassure you immediately by informing you that Merging is taking the Interchange aspect and in priority the AAF Interchange module with the highest importance. We've analyzed the...

Hi all and Happy New Year, Just a quick word to let you all know that Pyramix 5 is now out and both the OMF and AAF support have been greatly improved. To answer more specifically to Nick question: Yes there are people using AAF daily to interchange project between Avid products, Protools and Pyrami...

Hi all, It seems we're talking about two different problems here: 1) The fact that after clicking on the Browse button the little dialog allowing to select the folder we want to mount take a long time to come. This is something we don't really have impact on, it's just a standard Windows dialog that...

Hi all, The CD has to be an Hybrid CDFS/HFS formatted on the Mac, otherwise the resource fork is "encoded" by the Mac in a manner MacDrive doesn't support. Once properly created the CD should appear with a little Apple over its icon on the PC. If not, right click on it and choose the Show Mac Files ...
